We live in a brain filled with recycled thoughts. It is time to let go of the thinking we were taught to think and start to decide what we want our thoughts to be. We get all our beliefs, perspectives, and worldviews from internal, external, and organizational influences. What thoughts have you stuck? What thoughts do you want to stop borrowing from others? You get to decide.
Every single thing that has been created by humans has been created with a thought in someone’s brain first. If you don’t think on purpose, you won’t create anything purposeful. A thought is a sentence. You create a sentence, and then you create the results of that sentence. Imagine what is possible even with a half-managed mind.
Since the beginning of time, our brains have been wired to seek comfort, find food, connection and keep ourselves alive. In today’s work, those basics are a bit easier to come by. The next evolution of ourselves needs to be purposeful. What if you were able to be motivated by the exact opposite of comfort and safety? Game on!
